Temporary use as a tool for urban regenerationAn URBACT Pilot Transfer Network running from December 2013 to March 2015 In partnership with the municipalities of Rome (IT), Bremen (DE) and Alba Iulia (RO)Observatory Board Cities: Budapest and Pecs (HU), Milan (IT), Vienna and Graz (AT), Novi Sad (SR), Kavala (GR) and many more have expressed interest in exchanging experiences with the network. TUTUR is a pilot project financed by the URBACT program which aims at developing a policy instrument to allow and support temporary uses of abandoned and under-used properties by opening up to new models of experimentation. The project foresees the implementation of this practice in Rome, in Itay, and Alba Iulia, in Romania, based on the good practice of Bremen: the ZwischenZeitZentrale. ZZZ has activated on temporary bases many buildings and supports the City Administration in the urban planning long term plans.
